Curriculum

In St Cuthbert’s communal worship and Religious Education form an essential part of every day. The whole environment aims at developing to the full the spiritual and moral formation of the child. Masses for the children are held at intervals. Parents may exercise their rights to withdraw their children from Acts of Worship and/or lessons in religious education. Children who are withdrawn will be expected to work in the foyer under supervision.

All parents are invited to attend the Act of Worship in which their child is participating. Seasonal functions such as Nativity Plays, Passion Plays, Harvest Festival and School Patron Days are observed and, again, parents are invited to attend and thus support the school's aims where Religious and Moral Education are concerned. It is expected that parents of Catholic children will be involved in their preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation.
